Originally from Twin Cities, Sampson Rolen grew up in southern Minnesota. After graduating from Red Wing High School he enlisted in the US Navy and was trained to be a submariner, diver, cameraman, and combat medic. While in the US Navy, Sampson filmed classified training sessions and operations throughout the world. He completed his college education through the Naval School of Health Science and at the University of Southern Maine.

After serving the country for eleven years, he found the woman of his dreams and resigned from the US Navy to settle down. He moved back to Minnesota to start his family in early 2000.

Besides being a loving family man, Sampson created and ran his own movie and television production company, called Timeless Films Inc. Timeless Films demanded high-speed and on-the-go filming as it took on two nationally televised outdoors shows. The shows traveled countywide, covering top hunting and fishing spots, and focused on issues relevant to outdoorsmen.

Since 2005, the focus of Sampson's business began to shift toward movie production. With a higher demand for quality films, he revamped the company mission and changed the company name to Rolen Motion Pictures, LLC. Sampson has worked on and completed over five feature films and has agreements for many more films, currently in the pre-production phase.

Today, Sampson works closely with investors, writers, and actors to develop and deliver high quality motion pictures to theatrical distribution and sales.
